Additionally, playing on standard mode I had no problems with the boss battles. Some of the small dialogue between Roxas and Ventus during a battle featuring all the guardians of light, minus Sora and Kairi, was very clever.īut as great of an ending as Re:Mind is, it is only about four hours in total. The best part about the Re:Mind story is seeing all of these characters interact again. Fighting with Roxas once again was an amazing feeling and seeing his team-up attack with Axel and Xion was equally as notable. I always made the choice to fight as someone other than Sora and while it was a harder boss fight because of it, it was still incredibly cool and brought back a sense of nostalgia. While there is a small segment in Kingdom Hearts 3 where you fight as Riku, it is not nearly as intense of a boss fight as here. From Riku, to Aqua, to Roxas, and later the entire cast of Keybladers fighting for the light, Re:Mind mixes up the classic Kingdom Hearts formula putting you in the shoes of a completely new but beloved character. But despite most of the time fighting the same Organization members, there is a key difference, now you can fight as Keyblade wielders other than Sora. Re:Mind is like a director’s cut of the final battles you experience in the main game. The behind the curtain look at how Sora ended up saving everyone also clarifies a lot within Kingdom Hearts 3’s overly convoluted story.P With that idea in mind, Sora does something similar with the help of Chirithy. The theme of time travel, which was introduced in Kingdom Hearts in Dream Drop Distance, became a major plot point in the final game as Xehanort calls upon versions of himself across space and time. It follows a different time’s Sora as he works through the other guardians of light in order to save Kairi and restore her heart. Kingdom Hearts 3 Re:Mind is a look at the final battle from another view. The main attraction of the DLC itself is the additional story. However, the price tag is fairly steep considering what you are getting. The $30 DLC includes the additional story, titled Re:Mind, a Limitcut episode, 13 new bosses to defeat, and a Premium menu which can create diverse difficulty settings and gameplay challenges. To be honest, no matter what I wrote in this review die-hard Kingdom Hearts fans, including myself, are going to buy this DLC. Kingdom Hearts 3 returned to the forefront of fans’ minds with the release of the Re:Mind DLC.

Sorry, your browser does not appear to support IFRAME's. We made nine recommendations for Victoria Police. We focused on the completeness, accuracy and timeliness of Victoria Police data and the methodology used by CSA to analyse and publish crime statistics. In this audit, we examined whether crime data is reliable and effectively used for decision-making. The Crime Statistics Agency (CSA), part of the Department of Justice and Regulation, converts data extracted from LEAP into statistics which it publishes on its website quarterly. Victoria Police collects, reviews and records information on crimes-and the victims and alleged offenders involved-in its Law Enforcement Assistance Program (LEAP) database. Past reviews have revealed the misleading use of crime statistics and some cases that were recorded as resolved inappropriately. Given the importance of crime statistics in managing public safety and the high level of public attention and scrutiny they receive, it is important that they accurately reflect reported crime. The government uses crime statistics as an indicator of the effectiveness of criminal justice policies, and Victoria Police uses crime statistics to help determine its resourcing needs. They show the rate of recorded crime across local government areas or regions, and can highlight trends such as increases or decreases in types of crimes and how and where they are committed. Crime statistics are one measure the community uses to judge our relative safety and security. Wax is first and foremost a protective barrier for your automotive finish. Fully synthetic paint sealants will last longer still, again at the possible cost of optical properties, but they are out of the scope of this article. Waxes with more synthetic ingredients will last longer, sometimes at the cost of its reflective properties. Since wax is not a permanently bonded layer it will wear away over time and need to be re-applied. Within the wax are other substances such as oils and solvents that can enhance the appearance and condition of the finish underneath. When allowed to dry to the surface and then buffed off it leaves behind a very thin layer that has both hydrophobic and reflective properties. Wax adheres to the surface it’s applied to. Even with the modern advances in waxes and sealants, you’ll still be hard pressed to match the shine and warmth a good Carnauba based wax can provide. This type of wax has been the gold standard of automotive and marine waxes for decades and rightfully so. Of all of those ingredients, the one you probably recognize the most is Carnauba. Resins and Polymers – Synthetic substances that adhere to painted surfaces to provide longer protection and added durability. Silicones and Plastics – More commonly found in sealants these substances add durability to the wax, sometimes at the cost of luster. Miscible Oils – These are oils that are mixed with the Carnauba to help it adhere to surfaces Oils – Linseed Oil and other emollients (moisturizers) are used to add shine, luster, and conditioning properties to the wax. Petroleum Distillates – Solvents derived from crude oil that help clean the paint and make wax more workable. It’s typically mixed with the much harder Carnauba Wax to make it more workable. On the plant it is hydrophobic (repels water) and is optically clear making it a great application for automotive finishes.īeeswax – A moderately durable wax found in honeycombs. It is obtained by beating the wax off of the dried palm fronds and then refining it for use. Modern Car Wax Ingredients:Ĭarnauba Wax – Also known as palm wax or Brazil wax this hard wax is derived from the leaves of the Brazilian Copernicia Prunifera palm tree. If that were the case it would be unusable and incredibly expensive. When a wax advertises that it is pure carnauba or 100% carnauba it means that the carnauba in the product is pure, not that it’s solid carnauba. Most traditional waxes are carnauba based.Ĭarnauba is extremely hard in its pure and natural form so it must be blended with softer waxes, miscible oils, and petroleum distillates to make it more workable. These days most waxes are created by combining a variety of both natural and synthetic substances to enhance its durability and luster. It’s often found in round metal cans and plastic squeeze bottles down the automotive cleaning supply isles at your local big box store. Wax can be found in both liquid and paste form and is typically applied by spreading it over the surface you wish to protect. In the modern automotive world wax is a compound created from both naturally occurring and synthetic substances designed to both protect and enhance finishes such as paint and clear coat. It was a substance rendered from animal fats with the purpose of protecting the lacquer like paint on horse carriages. What is the Best Wax for Single Stage Lacquer?Īutomotive wax got its first start way back in the early 1800’s in a German town called Bischofsheim. Playing their home games at the world-class GIO. They fixed an exploit (that i'm not aware of) by making the spell queue system that has always been there only take the first spell it is told to use where it used to take the last one it was told - meaning that you could overwrite the queued spell if a proc happened (etc.). this is true for any DPS class (and tank) that is GCD-capped - this means basically anyone but rogues who are lmited by energy and rarely by GCD. Spamming keys as a DPSer has always been important to achieve your highest potential. Hmm, this isn't an accurate assessment of what is going on in wow. posted by Tobold 11:45 AM Permanent Link There is really no reason why a game should respond better if you hammer your keys instead of pressing them once. WoW now actively punishes button mashing, and that is good. Only of course that with the new ability queue if you button mash, you will launch abilities twice which you only wanted once. They are the button mashers, if they want some ability to go off, they hammer the key until it does. If you play it right that is going to improve your ability output, because it gets around the problem of lag making you think you are still on cooldown, while in reality you are not.īut some people complain about the new ability queue, because they are apparently unable to hit a key just once. In the new ability queue system, if you are on global cooldown or in the middle of an action, and press another hotkey, the game remembers that, and queues the ability, performing it after the first one is finished. I do not mash buttons, but press them when appropriate. Due to the way I play World of Warcraft, I barely noticed the new ability queue system. The chivalric code was strongly influenced by Christianity In it Marshal is described as ‘the best knight in the world’. William Marshal’s incredible story is chronicled in the Histoire de Guillaume le Maréchal, the only known written biography of a non-royal to survive from the Middle Ages. Nearly thirty years later in 1217, a 70-year-old William Marshall defeated an invading French army at Lincoln. Despite this, when Richard ascended the English throne later that year, William became one of his most dependable generals and was left to govern England when Richard departed for the Holy Land. In 1189, William even unseated Richard, soon to be Richard I, in battle when Richard was leading a rebellion against his father, King Henry II. He was considered the greatest tournament knight of his age and also spent some years fighting in the Holy Land. The biggest hero of his day, William Marshal’s name sits alongside King Arthur and Richard the Lionheart as one of England’s most famous knights. William Marshal was one of England’s greatest knights Roland dies in battle a martyr and his act of valour is seen as exemplifying the courage and selflessness of a true knight and vassal to the king. Rather than alert Charlemagne to the ambush by blowing a horn, Roland and his men face the ambush alone, so as not to risk the lives of the king and his troops. The titular Roland is leading the rear guard when his men are ambushed while crossing the Pyrenees Mountains. The Song of Roland tells the story of Charlemagne’s victory over the final Saracen army in Spain (a campaign that began in 778). Meaning “songs of great deeds”, chansons de geste were French heroic poems written in the Middle Ages. Like the latter film, "The Last Wave" is a story about the earth itself rebelling against those who don't belong, but the ambiguity is even stronger this time out. Peter Weir's third and final horror-adjacent feature after "The Cars That Ate Paris" and "Picnic at Hanging Rock" is also a peculiarly Australian narrative. Watching Allie steamroll his way through both the jungle and his family's well-being shifts the film from drama to adventure to an American tragedy set thousands of miles away from home. There are bumps along the way, particularly with underserved supporting characters like Allie's wife and son (Helen Mirren, River Phoenix), but Ford is a powerhouse who's difficult to look away from. Ford's performance as Allie Fox, one of his best, keeps viewers on edge, and the character's constant push and pull is equally engaging. Much as casting "good guy" Harrison Ford for the role of the brilliant but belligerent patriarch does. That unsettled feeling arguably works to the film's advantage in some ways, though. There's a difference, one typically found in a thin layer of optimism running through the former's work, and it leaves 'The Mosquito Coast' feeling somewhat uneven. Weir makes movies about people who are challenged, while Schrader prefers people who are damaged. In retrospect, maybe pairing a director like Peter Weir with a writer like Paul Schrader wasn't the best of ideas. It's an odd choice that deflates the drama to some degree, but the affecting performances and inspiring journey remain. At one point, they look up towards the Himalayas, their greatest challenge ahead of them, and then, Weir cuts to them pretty much wrapping it up. The film suggests a great tale of survival, but it falls short, as it becomes an epic in search of more running time. They face harsh weather, hungry wolves, dwindling food and water, and more threats along the way. As is often the case with Weir's films, the humanity of their situation quickly takes precedence over a need for historical truths. The film casts a capable Jim Sturgess in the lead role and surrounds him with a strong ensemble (Ed Harris, Colin Farrell, Mark Strong, Saoirse Ronan). The story is memorable, as Weir loosely adapts Slavomir Rawicz's memoir/novel "The Long Walk" (the author's claims of fact were later challenged) about an epic walk to freedom from Siberia to India. Peter Weir's final film may not be his weakest, but like "Green Card," it feels, at times, like a stab at familiarity that somehow loses the director's voice along the way. Life in the prison camp was difficult, but the path to freedom will challenge them like nothing else before. It's 1941, and several men have just escaped from a Soviet gulag in Siberia. |
